Scope

• Extension to existing club to accommodate new back house area including loading dock, cool rooms and new commercial kitchen. Internally the project included new bistro eatery and bar, pizza restaurant, new whisky bar and lounge area.
• Alterations were made to provide compliant emergency egress and installation of a new passenger lift.
• The final stage is currently under construction which provides a seafood café facility to the club.

Project Benefits

• Due to the complexity of the project and the requirement to maintain the operations of the bistro and gaming an 8 stage delivery was required. By delivering each portion separately the club was able to meet the demands of Melbourne Cup Day patronage, Christmas holiday trade.
• The ongoing operation of the existing club including all gaming was uninterrupted during construction.
• By sourcing materials through alternative suppliers, savings were achieved from the guaranteed maximum price which allowed the club to increase the scope without seeking additional finance and within the existing programme.
