The MW21 (Design and Construct) contract for this science classroom upgrade project required that New England Constructions accept responsibility for specific design services and provide Principal Certifying Authority Approvals on project completion. With a specified contract period of 14 weeks, the project was successfully completed in just eight weeks. Features contributing to the early completion involved the pre-construction ordering of all furniture selections to avoid delayed delivery on items such as science benches, which required a 10-week lead time for delivery. A co-operative and constructive relationship with the school management and local trade participation assisted the early project completion.
Given the remote site I think this was delivered in a very timely manner. The site was well managed by both Masour and Kim it was a pleasure to do the project with them. DEC were happy with the final product which is a good result for all stakeholders. I would be more then happy to do another project with New England.
